As a Senior Engagement Manager at Neo4j, you will be the strategic delivery lead steering our enterprise customers from technical vision to real-world deployment. Operating within our Professional Services organisation, you will champion the implementation of Neo4j’s industry-leading graph solutions, utilising agile, traditional, and hybrid delivery methodologies. This is a highly collaborative, technical leadership role where you will partner closely with customers, Sales, Pre-Sales Engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver complex, high-value data initiatives on time and within budget.
You will sit at the epicenter of our delivery engine, managing multi-disciplinary, multi-location teams (onshore, offshore, and partners) to unlock the business value of connections and relationships in enterprise data. Whether unearthing insights for GenAI/GraphRAG architectures, fraud detection, or knowledge graphs, you will serve as a trusted partner to mid-to-senior level customer stakeholders. You will balance rigorous project management standards with an entrepreneurial mindset, driving customer satisfaction while identifying strategic expansion and up-sell opportunities.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5 years of experience autonomously managing mid-to-large, complex software implementation projects or technical enterprise engagements.
- Proven track record of managing and developing matrixed consulting teams and cultivating deep technical relationships with mid-to-senior customer stakeholders.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and presenting complex project governance artifacts, including Jira backlogs, risk assessments, financial margin analyses, and delivery schedules.
- Solid familiarity with Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools (e.g., Certinia/FinancialForce) for resource forecasting, utilisation tracking, and project financial governance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- PMP, Agile/Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications.
- 2+ years of experience working in an Engagement Management or Project Management capacity specifically within a vendor Professional Services organisation.
- Experience managing big data, analytics, or database infrastructure projects—ideally involving Graph technology (Neo4j), NoSQL/Relational systems (MongoDB, Couchbase, Teradata), or modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
- Direct experience managing project deployments on major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Deep domain vertical expertise within Financial Services, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or High-Tech sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent enterprise engagements, orchestrating onshore, offshore, and partner delivery resources to ensure successful execution within defined scope, timeline, and financial constraints.
- Partner closely with Sales and Pre-Sales Engineering during the pre-sales pipeline phase to contribute to statements of work (SOWs), define delivery plans, construct level-of-effort (LOE) estimations, and establish risk assessments.
- Co-lead regional resource planning sessions, managing talent allocation, project margin health, and corporate compliance guidelines through our PSA tool (Certinia).
- Deliver comprehensive project health dashboards, status reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to internal and client stakeholders, proactively identifying and mitigating integration and environment complexities.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and solutions-oriented leadership; actively identify downstream up-sell and cross-sell opportunities that drive continuous customer success and business outcomes.
- Facilitate structured project close procedures, capturing lessons learned and institutionalising best practices to constantly evolve Neo4j’s professional services delivery playbook.
