Matrix Design Group, LLC is hiring a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and structural design of embedded systems
  • Develop and maintain user interface components for embedded applications
  • Design and manage communication interfaces between system components
  • Integrate embedded software with broader system functions
  • Create and maintain interfaces between firmware and hardware elements
  • Collaborate on the integration of hardware components into system designs
  • Build diagnostic tools and utilities to support system analysis and troubleshooting
  • Develop test systems to verify functional requirements
  • Produce software for product installation and deployment
  • Implement firmware based on finalized design specifications
  • Define, develop, and document system requirements and technical specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns
  • Conduct application testing in lab and real-world field environments
  • Record and maintain detailed documentation of test outcomes
  • Support product commissioning activities across various platforms

  • Daily responsibilities include office, lab, and desk-based tasks, with periodic field testing
  • Some roles may involve infrequent underground work
