At Rockwell Automation, we welcome all makers, forward thinkers, and problem solvers. We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team in Katowice. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, test, and integration of hardware for embedded communication and control modules within our Industrial Component Business, working through the entire development cycle.
What You'll Do
- Design electronic circuit diagrams using tools and software utilized at Rockwell Automation.
- Lead local and international projects with support from senior-level engineers.
- Coordinate project activities within the local electronics team as well as cross-functionally and internationally.
- Delegate and approve the completion of project-related tasks.
- Implement CPD and RAPL processes when managing projects.
- Create, review, and approve project documentation in accordance with CPD and RAPL processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience in one or more of: microprocessor/microcontroller-based embedded system design, digital circuit design, analog circuit design, Ethernet hardware design, offline switching power supply design and test, or electromagnetic compatibility design & test.
- Demonstrated skills in the hardware development process, including circuit simulation & design, component de-rating, and hardware debug & checkout.
- Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Legal authorization to work in the European Union and ability to travel internationally (10%).
Nice to Have
- Experience with typical embedded control peripherals (e.g., RAM, Flash, FPGA, SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, A/D, Ethernet/MII, CAN) and typical design/test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).
- Mentor Graphics/Expedition schematic entry experience.
- Familiarity with packaging designs for electrical & electronic devices, including design for mechanical robustness, EMC, and thermal considerations.
- Experience with writing system and module requirements specifications.
- Experience with writing and executing hardware and system test specifications.
- Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problems involving both hardware and firmware.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products (including Logix controllers and software tools) and/or other industrial control equipment.
