NVIDIA is hiring a Senior Electrical Product Engineer - Datacenter

About the Role

Join a forward-thinking engineering team focused on advancing GPU-accelerated server platforms for AI, deep learning, and data analytics. In this role, you'll lead critical efforts in system validation and test development for high-performance computing hardware deployed in datacenter environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement diagnostic tests and debug methodologies for next-generation GPU boards, leveraging expertise in high-speed signal behavior and system-level interactions
  • Analyze boot sequences and system handshakes to isolate and resolve hardware, firmware, and software integration issues
  • Ensure designs meet robustness requirements by guiding compliance with design-for-excellence principles across layout, mechanical, and assembly domains
  • Define and deliver comprehensive test specifications for manufacturing, ensuring full hardware coverage and alignment with quality standards
  • Partner with contract manufacturers to configure efficient production lines, including test station layout and fixture requirements
  • Investigate yield challenges using production data and lab-based experimentation to develop effective corrective actions
  • Continuously refine test processes to reduce waste, improve throughput, and meet defect rate targets
  • Support quality and customer support teams during technical escalations by identifying root causes and improving test coverage gaps

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant industry experience. Strong foundational knowledge in digital systems, signal integrity, timing analysis, fault isolation, and computer architecture is essential.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience in board- or system-level electrical design and proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Perl, along with working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
