About the Role
The engineer will lead electrical design efforts, support project execution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of electrical systems for industrial projects
- Produce detailed design documentation including schematics, layouts, and specifications
- Perform calculations for load analysis, short circuit studies, and coordination
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards such as NEC and IEEE
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to meet project timelines
- Conduct site assessments and support construction phase activities
- Review vendor submittals and ensure technical compliance
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support teams
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during installation and commissioning
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
- Prepare cost estimates and support procurement processes
- Coordinate with external consultants and regulatory agencies
- Develop single-line diagrams and wiring schematics
- Support safety reviews and hazard analyses
- Ensure integration of electrical systems with control and automation components
- Manage design changes through formal engineering change processes
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
- Verify system performance through testing and validation
- Promote energy efficiency and sustainable design practices
