AECOM is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop and implement electrical systems and components.
  • Ensure project compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct site inspections and field investigations to assess electrical systems and components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Perform feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical engineering projects.
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs for various applications, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Conduct electrical system analyses and simulations to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure electrical systems are safe, reliable, and meet performance requirements.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications and other regulatory documents.
  • Conduct electrical system testing and commissioning to ensure proper operation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical systems and components.
  • Develop and implement electrical system maintenance and inspection programs.
  • Conduct electrical system audits and assessments to identify and address potential issues.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
  • Ensure electrical systems are designed and installed in accordance with sustainable and energy-efficient principles.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for electrical system upgrades and retrofits.
  • Conduct electrical system risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement electrical system training programs for staff and clients.
  • Ensure electrical systems are designed and installed in accordance with accessibility and safety standards.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with renewable energy systems and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced design tools.
  • Experience with electrical system design for data centers and mission-critical facilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with electrical system design, analysis, and simulation software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
