About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of ecological surveys and studies
- Prepare technical reports on environmental findings and recommendations
- Conduct habitat and species assessments in various ecosystems
- Support environmental impact assessments and permitting processes
- Manage field teams during ecological data collection campaigns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Develop and implement conservation and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on project planning
- Review project plans for potential ecological impacts
- Provide expert input during project design phases
- Oversee data analysis and interpretation from field studies
- Prepare documentation for regulatory submittals
- Engage with stakeholders on ecological project components
- Conduct wetland delineations and functional assessments
- Lead endangered species evaluations and surveys
- Support restoration planning and monitoring efforts
- Maintain quality control for ecological deliverables
- Contribute to environmental management plans
- Assist in developing project scopes and budgets
- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions
- Stay current with changes in environmental legislation
- Train junior staff in field and reporting methods
- Coordinate with external agencies and consultants
- Evaluate land use proposals for ecological sensitivity
- Support due diligence for land acquisition projects
