Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end planning, design, and execution of supply chain initiatives.
- Lead strategic supply chain planning, including modeling for capacity, network optimization, and capital expenditure forecasting.
- Assess how supply chain variables affect distribution center capacity and align with global inventory positioning strategies.
- Support transportation optimization projects and evaluate cost-saving opportunities through process enhancements.
- Guide the design and modification of distribution facilities, including new builds, retrofits, and material handling systems.
- Maintain strategic partnerships with automation and material handling equipment suppliers.
- Implement facility and process design changes to increase efficiency, throughput, and operational capacity.
- Design and propose optimized department layouts and product movement flows in warehouses, integrating sustainability and energy-saving objectives.
- Establish standardized warehouse operating procedures and best practices in collaboration with operations support teams.
- Deploy and manage labor management systems and configure related software tools.
- Create and maintain dynamic labor standards using data from modern warehouse management systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with labor management systems and their integrations as required.
- Lead engineering personnel in identifying, defining, and executing process improvement initiatives.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to drive operational change.
- Manage organizational change across people, processes, systems, and equipment components.
- Supervise direct reports and lead systems and projects to meet operational targets in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex operational projects successfully.
- Foster a high-performance culture by establishing shared goals, promoting collaboration, recognizing achievements, and ensuring transparent communication.
- Mentor professionals in resolving advanced challenges within their domains and lead solutions affecting cross-functional processes.
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in the operational excellence discipline.
