Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms (AKS, GKE) with a focus on scalability, multitenancy, and global reliability.
- Define and own container lifecycle practices, including building pipelines, registries, vulnerability scanning and runtime policies.
- Lead the implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (Terraform/OpenTofu), ensuring automation, repeatability, and compliance across cloud environments.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support containerized workloads and cloud-native services.
- Be in charge of GitOps best practices and advanced deployment strategies.
- Build and maintain self-service tools to empower product and engineering teams while reducing operational overhead.
- Establish security standards and policies for containerized environments (RBAC, secrets management, admission controllers, scanning)
- Partner with Information Security and Infrastructure teams to embed compliance controls into the platform.
- Implement advanced observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Datadog)
- Drive culture of test-first development with unit, integration and performance testing
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of production issues, ensuring high reliability and uptime
- Contribute to ongoing platform refactoring and modernization efforts.
- Act as a senior technical advisor to engineering leadership on platform and DevOps strategy
- Work closely with Engineering teams to optimize build pipelines, observability and deployment automation.
- Ensure compliance with global standards, information security policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate regularly with Infrastructure Teams, especially Cloud Engineering, to align on requirements, clarify priorities and deliver business value iteratively.
Requirements
- Experience in container technologies, cloud-native architecture and automation
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms (AKS, GKE)
- Strong design principles and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
- Experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads
- Knowledge of GitOps best practices and advanced deployment strategies
- Experience implementing security standards for containerized environments (RBAC, secrets management, admission controllers, scanning)
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or Datadog
- Ability to work in a collaborative and agile environment
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and set technical direction
