Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance AWS infrastructure with a focus on security, scalability, and high availability
- Oversee Kubernetes clusters and ensure reliable performance of all hosted services
- Develop and manage CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and define infrastructure through Terraform
- Implement system monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, and respond promptly to alerts and outages
- Promote DevOps best practices across engineering teams and contribute to a strong operational culture
- Work closely with development and QA teams to drive continuous platform improvements
Requirements
- Full-time DevOps experience with deep Linux command-line proficiency, including tools like curl, jq, awk, sed, iptables, and netstat, and familiarity with vi editing
- Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters deployed on AWS
- Extensive hands-on work with Terraform for infrastructure automation and maintenance, including provisioning environments such as for security testing
- Solid background using Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services including IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront, with strong command of AWS CLI
- Located in or near Munich, with remote work an option
- Fluent English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience optimizing PostgreSQL performance, particularly in AWS Aurora environments
- Openness to learning backend technologies such as Hasura, Kafka, or EMQX; prior exposure is a plus
- German language proficiency is advantageous
