SailPoint, a leader in identity security for the cloud enterprise, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the Identity Security Cloud platform in the UAE region. This role is responsible for implementing and operating global customer-facing SaaS infrastructure on AWS while ensuring compliance with data sovereignty requirements.
What You'll Do
- Be a key player on the Infrastructure and Platform Services team servicing the Identity Security Cloud platform
- Perform DevOps work in the UAE region
- Proactively work with Engineering, Product, Services, and other functional departments to implement and operate global customer-facing SaaS infrastructure
- Work as a member of the UAE DevOps team performing data store operations and DevOps work for the product running in the UAE region
- Work closely with Software Engineers and DevOps Engineers
- Partner with leaders at all levels across the organization to meet data sovereignty requirements
- Onboard into the role, get familiar with product offering and technology, proactively meet peers and stakeholders, and set up test and development environment within first 30 days
- Begin working on planned projects and improvements within first 30 days
- Collaborate on projects with team members and other teams within 90 days
- Become fully integrated with the team and join the on-call rotation to support the product within 90 days
- Become an expert on how the SailPoint ISC product operates within 90 days
- Own and implement projects to successfully operate on data stores in an environment with restricted access within 6 months
- Become a subject matter expert on the data stores used for the products within 6 months
- Independently handle any on-call incidents within 6 months
- Collaborate with other teams to securely bring new features and services into production in the UAE region within 6 months
- Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance (such as ISO, SOC, SSAE 16, etc.) within 6 months
What We're Looking For
- Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud service provider
- Experience with cloud infrastructure environments, preferably AWS
- Experience with Kubernetes and tools like ArgoCD
- Experience deploying and maintaining databases and distributed data stores: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka
- Experience with Machine Learning and data tools such as Apache Airflow and Flink
- Release automation (Jenkins, etc), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience
- Experience using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
- Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong interpersonal and teaming skills - ability to set and enforce process and influence engineers who are not direct reports
- Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment
- Due to the requirements of UAE customers, this position requires being physically located in the UAE
