About the Role
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud environments with a strong emphasis on automation, database reliability, and infrastructure as code using Terraform. The candidate will support continuous integration and deployment workflows while ensuring system performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure across development and production environments
- Implement and maintain MongoDB clusters with high availability and disaster recovery
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform with version-controlled configurations
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster and more reliable software delivery
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in distributed environments
- Enforce security best practices across cloud services and network configurations
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and scaling
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Respond to incidents and lead resolution efforts during system outages
- Manage identity and access controls within cloud platforms
- Support containerized workloads and orchestration platforms
- Perform regular backups and validate recovery processes
- Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve system reliability
- Conduct code reviews for infrastructure-as-code changes
- Integrate monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection
- Optimize cloud spending through resource tracking and rightsizing
- Deploy and manage logging and observability solutions
- Assist in migration of on-premise systems to cloud environments
- Ensure network configurations support secure and efficient communication
Nice to Have
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas or managed database services
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
- Terraform Associate or similar certification
- Experience in fintech or high-transaction environments
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies
- Background in incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Familiarity with policy-as-code tools like Open Policy Agent
- Experience with multi-region cloud deployments
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
