Responsibilities
- Design and manage infrastructure as code to provision virtual machines and deploy containerized services and systems.
- Deploy and configure custom Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, GCP, on-prem, or hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with platform developers, DevOps peers, and client-facing teams to define technical requirements and deliver platform solutions.
- Execute software deployments to commercial environments and, eventually, DoD networks including unclassified, CUI, and classified systems.
- Respond to incidents and perform initial diagnosis of critical infrastructure failures.
- Monitor systems and implement automation to enhance reliability, performance, and uptime across projects.
- Serve as a communication bridge between development teams and customer-facing units.
- Perform operational duties to maintain smooth operation of platform offerings.
- Partner with software engineers and data scientists to deploy and support production-ready AI and software products.
- Learn from technical experts to deeply understand effective AI system design and implementation.
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps personnel with technical and process leadership.
- Adapt to evolving needs by stepping into undefined roles where improvements are required.
- Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies and tools for potential adoption.
