360 IT Professionals is hiring a Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develops and improves program performance using specific programming languages
  • Collaborates in assessing, recommending, and choosing hardware and software solutions
  • Investigates and evaluates data processing techniques, workflows, and protocols
  • Oversees production systems to ensure they meet performance expectations
  • Conducts root cause analysis on live system issues and identifies corrective actions
  • Coordinates with internal departments on upcoming system deployments
  • Administers and maintains processes and procedures on new hardware infrastructure
  • Analyzes data processing functions, methods, and operational procedures
  • Tracks program execution to verify expected performance outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience in relevant technical domains
  • 5 to 8 years of front-end integration experience with development teams deploying Unix-based applications
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Familiarity with all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and lead cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude for addressing complex technical challenges efficiently
  • 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience with two or more cloud platforms supporting high-volume transaction systems
  • Proficient in scripting languages including Ruby, Perl, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and shell scripts
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as UCM, SVN, Perforce, and Git
  • Designed fully automated build-to-deploy pipelines
  • Built and implemented scalable, fault-tolerant microservices architectures
  • Worked extensively with tools like Jira, Hudson, Jenkins, uDeploy, and Puppet
  • Demonstrated experience with Red Hat, Ubuntu Linux, other UNIX variants, and Windows
  • Hands-on work with Linux or BSD systems running on virtualized environments such as AWS EC2 (Xen)
  • Direct experience managing AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, Route53, CloudFormation, and CloudSearch
  • Proficient with DevOps tools including GitLab, Stash, Jira, Redmine, Jenkins, Go, Selenium, Chef, Docker, Ansible, and Cloud Foundry
  • Hands-on experience with server-side web frameworks such as Java or Scala
  • Skilled in integrating and managing RESTful web services
  • Experience developing highly scalable and high-performance web services

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ
  • Experience deploying and managing SMACK stack components (Spark, Mesos, Akka, Cassandra, Kafka)
  • Worked with NoSQL databases including Cassandra and MongoDB
  • Experience implementing and maintaining ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
