The New York Times is hiring a Senior Designer

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design for major global 360 campaigns, maintaining strong visual narratives across digital, social, video, and print platforms.
  • Create presentations, sales decks, and advertising prototypes for client proposals.
  • Present design concepts clearly to clients and internal teams, aligning visual solutions with client goals and performance metrics.
  • Partner with editorial staff to transform editorial content into compelling web experiences and interactive stories.
  • Engage senior design leadership for feedback and mentor junior designers and interns to support team growth.
  • Coordinate with international developers to ensure accurate implementation of digital designs and lead page builds using Webflow.
  • Oversee creative contributions from external partners such as illustrators, photographers, and motion designers, expanding the vendor network.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance design workflows and implement process improvements.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of advertising offerings, newsroom standards, and T Brand Studio practices.
  • Uphold the principle of journalistic independence and support the mission of truth-seeking and public understanding.
  • Report directly to the Creative Director of T Brand Studio International.
