Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams across functions to create robust and scalable data storage systems for transactional and analytical use cases
- Oversee and enhance SQL Server and MySQL environments, covering schema architecture, query optimization, replication setups, backup strategies, recovery protocols, and performance tracking
- Develop and sustain data integration workflows connecting diverse database technologies
- Advocate for and apply industry best practices in both relational and NoSQL database design across development teams
- Partner with data engineering and data science units to identify data-related challenges and deliver adaptable, high-performance solutions
- Support data security and governance efforts across the data infrastructure
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues spanning hardware, software, and networking layers
- Create automated tools and systems to improve processes throughout the software development lifecycle, including setup, code management, continuous integration, delivery pipelines, and deployment workflows
- Collaborate with software developers to implement data-driven features, including writing stored procedures and automation scripts as needed
- Participate in on-call support rotations when required
- Influence long-term data strategy by evaluating new technologies and proposing solutions aligned with platform evolution
