As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the development and deployment of advanced data products that directly influence product strategy and customer engagement. Your work will span the full lifecycle of model development—from ideation to monitoring—ensuring robust, scalable solutions that meet real business needs.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement high-impact systems such as recommendation engines, fraud detection models, and marketing optimization tools
- Collaborate closely with product and business teams to translate data insights into actionable strategies
- Drive improvements in modeling techniques, infrastructure, and deployment workflows to maintain technical excellence
- Guide junior scientists through mentorship and peer review, raising the overall capability of the team
- Take full ownership of models, ensuring performance, reliability, and continuous iteration post-deployment
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Data Scientist in a B2C or B2B setting
- Strong ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Python is required, along with experience in another object-oriented programming language
- Proven experience working with large datasets using SQL, Spark, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with production-level data pipelines using tools such as Docker, Airflow, dbt, or Datadog
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments focused on measurable impact
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the gaming or betting sector is a plus, though not required
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid model, requiring at least four days per month on-site in Bordeaux, with remote work possible for the remainder. Transportation and accommodation costs for in-office days are covered.
