NielsenIQ is hiring a Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

  • Lead specific analytical workstreams to answer business and client inquiries
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Act as the Data Science representative in interdisciplinary meetings and project discussions
  • Assist in the full lifecycle implementation of analytical solutions from analysis to deployment
  • Review current methodologies and procedures to ensure correct usage
  • Record analysis details, results, assumptions, and suggestions in a clear and brief manner
  • Identify, diagnose, and fix data, system, or analytical irregularities in assigned tasks
  • Communicate technical ideas and outcomes to audiences with different analytical backgrounds
  • Continuously improve technical, analytical, and industry-specific knowledge

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or Engineering
  • Three to five years of professional experience in a quantitative or analytics-focused position
  • High quantitative ability with demonstrated data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
  • Skill in using Python and SQL
  • Background in handling large and intricate datasets
  • Firm grasp of analytical processes and methods
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities
  • Effective planning and organizational competencies
  • Capacity to work both autonomously and cooperatively within a team setting
  • Shown inquisitiveness and dedication to ongoing learning
