Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, product, and data teams to build a real-time data streaming system aligned with organizational objectives
- Establish and uphold architectural standards and design practices to ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and usability
- Develop resilient, self-correcting, and precise data processing and analytics applications
- Create data models and frameworks for real-time processing and full-cycle streaming workflows
- Enhance and expand the data platform across multiple data centers using Hadoop-based tools
- Empower data engineers by delivering abstraction layers and maintaining efficient, dependable data infrastructure
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and software developers to deliver value to customers and partners
- Oversee deployment, monitoring, and upkeep of streaming platforms in production and test environments
- Enforce data governance and security protocols to meet regulatory and internal compliance requirements
- Lead and mentor data engineers at all levels, promoting best practices in data engineering
