Clearway Energy is hiring a Senior Data Engineer, Solutions Architecture

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and oversee scalable data platforms that power enterprise-level analytics and reporting
  • Administer Snowflake environments with focus on performance, security, and capacity planning for increasing data demands
  • Enhance query efficiency and resource usage to reduce costs and accelerate data processing
  • Construct and manage complex ETL/ELT workflows using Dagster for dependable automation in asset and trading data operations
  • Engineer resilient data pipelines capable of processing large-scale, time-critical energy market and asset performance data
  • Automate workflows and manage dependencies to ensure reliability in core business processes
  • Build and sustain dbt models that convert raw inputs into structured, analytics-ready datasets and dimensional schemas
  • Design optimized SQL transformations for intricate energy market computations and asset performance indicators
  • Enable advanced analytics through accurate data preparation and feature development
  • Enforce data validation, testing, and monitoring systems to maintain integrity across energy and financial datasets
  • Implement data lineage tracking and privacy safeguards to comply with energy industry regulations
  • Develop monitoring and alerting systems for data pipelines, including error detection, SLA tracking, and incident resolution
  • Lead CI/CD efforts for Dagster and dbt pipelines, and deploy Streamlit/Gradio applications to Linux servers
  • Establish automated testing and deployment processes for data and analytics systems
  • Maintain version control and apply infrastructure-as-code principles
  • Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, and business teams to define and deliver data solutions
  • Partner with asset management and trading units to ensure timely data access for operations and risk modeling
  • Work with credit risk teams to build data models for financial assessments and regulatory submissions
  • Convert business needs into technical implementations and convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Produce and update technical documentation, data definitions, and onboarding resources
  • Enforce role-based access, encryption, and security standards across the data ecosystem
  • Track and refine cloud infrastructure spending, optimize resource allocation, and deliver cost projections
