The Senior Data Engineer at Tessera Labs will design and build scalable data solutions to harmonize enterprise data across multiple ERP ecosystems, including SAP, Oracle ERP, and SaaS platforms like NetSuite. This role is essential in enabling cross-system interoperability, standardizing master and transactional data, and building the foundational data layer for enterprise analytics, AI, and automation.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from enterprise systems including SAP ECC / S4HANA
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from enterprise systems including Oracle ERP / Oracle Fusion
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from enterprise systems including SaaS ERP platforms such as NetSuite
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data from legacy ERP and adjacent enterprise systems
- Implement transformation pipelines using SQL and Python
- Design and maintain data harmonization frameworks that standardize enterprise datasets across systems
- Define and implement cross-system mapping rules for enterprise data domains including Customers / Business Partners
- Define and implement cross-system mapping rules for enterprise data domains including Vendors / Suppliers
- Define and implement cross-system mapping rules for enterprise data domains including Materials / Products
- Define and implement cross-system mapping rules for enterprise data domains including Chart of Accounts
- Define and implement cross-system mapping rules for enterprise data domains including Cost Centers and organizational structures
- Define and implement cross-system mapping rules for enterprise data domains including Financial and operational transactions
- Develop canonical enterprise data models that normalize ERP data across heterogeneous systems
- Implement logical and physical models supporting relational data platforms
- Implement logical and physical models supporting dimensional analytics models
- Implement logical and physical models supporting enterprise semantic layers
- Work closely with ERP functional teams and Functional Data Experts (FDEs) to translate business rules into technical implementations
- Convert functional requirements into SQL transformation logic
- Convert functional requirements into Python-based processing pipelines
- Convert functional requirements into validation and reconciliation frameworks
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring frameworks
- Identify and resolve enterprise data issues such as duplicate master data
- Identify and resolve enterprise data issues such as inconsistent definitions across ERP systems
- Identify and resolve enterprise data issues such as incomplete or legacy datasets
- Identify and resolve enterprise data issues such as configuration-driven inconsistencies
What We're Looking For
- 5–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Data Platform development
- Experience working with enterprise ERP systems, such as SAP (ECC or S/4HANA)
- Experience working with enterprise ERP systems, such as Oracle ERP / Oracle Fusion
- Experience working with enterprise ERP systems, such as NetSuite or other SaaS ERPs
- Experience supporting ERP transformation, migration, or multi-system integration initiatives
- Advanced SQL
- Strong Python for data engineering workflows and pipeline development
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience processing large-scale enterprise datasets
- Familiarity with modern data architectures and distributed processing
- Strong understanding of relational data models
- Strong understanding of dimensional models
- Strong understanding of canonical enterprise data models
- Understanding of ERP business domains including Finance
- Understanding of ERP business domains including General Ledger
