Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete physical security system architecture for data centers while aligning with all related engineering disciplines.
- Formulate strategic approaches for designing and deploying data center security systems.
- Establish security system standards compliant with U.S. government regulations, industry benchmarks, and international requirements.
- Support the creation and upkeep of the Physical Security Basis of Design, master specifications, and master drawings.
- Collaborate with external design consultants to adapt master designs into project-specific documentation and drawings.
- Design access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems to meet SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.
- Develop security zoning plans, mantrap configurations, badge and biometric authentication processes, and visitor management procedures.
- Define encryption standards and data retention policies for video footage, system logs, and alarm records.
- Enable integration of security alerts and events with DCIM and corporate SIEM platforms.
- Ensure system resilience through redundant communication paths, backup power solutions, and routine penetration testing.
