Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing multi-source reporting systems to identify strengths and limitations
- Develop a robust, scalable architecture for high-volume data reporting with strong performance guarantees
- Establish data modeling approaches tailored to analytical and reporting use cases
- Design methods to enhance event data using metadata from diverse systems
- Build efficient systems for calculating unique metrics and large-scale aggregations
- Advise on architectural patterns for real-time and low-latency analytics processing
- Assess and propose data technologies, design patterns, and their associated trade-offs
- Work closely with development teams to realize architectural designs in production
- Support system migration efforts while maintaining data consistency and reporting accuracy
- Promote standards in data quality, system observability, scalability, and performance tuning
- Offer technical leadership and mentorship to data and software engineering professionals
