Jobgether is hiring a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to design and implement advanced security solutions that safeguard critical systems and data from evolving threats. You will define security requirements, perform risk assessments, and develop strategies for detection, response, and recovery.
What You'll Do
- Harden internal and external systems to minimize vulnerability and protect against cyber threats.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain security technologies and architectures in collaboration with technical teams.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Develop reporting and remediation strategies for identified vulnerabilities or misconfigurations.
- Document and maintain security architecture, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing guidance and support to affected teams.
- Assist Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) teams with vendor risk management and regulatory adherence.
- Monitor emerging threats, trends, and technologies to inform proactive security strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering role.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, particularly AWS architectures and services.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, PAM, and DLP.
- Hands-on experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for cybersecurity and a desire to continuously expand knowledge and certifications.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages is a plus.
