Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary legal advisor for product teams focused on stablecoins, payments, and crypto infrastructure, supporting all stages of the product lifecycle with legal, business, and strategic input.
- Guide product developers and engineers on compliance with U.S. and global regulations such as money transmission rules, the GENIUS Act, NYDFS BitLicense, banking laws, e-money issuance, securities regulations, and Bank Secrecy Act requirements.
- Address complex legal challenges by assessing risk, collaborating with internal legal specialists, and coordinating external legal experts when necessary.
- Work closely with Compliance, Communications, Finance, Tax, Security, and Enterprise Risk Management teams to ensure integrated and practical legal advice that supports product development.
- Help define strategies for navigating evolving regulatory landscapes, offering proactive insights on how new laws and regulatory guidance impact product design, user disclosures, and market entry plans.
- Develop efficient, repeatable legal frameworks and documentation to help product teams innovate quickly while staying within legal and regulatory boundaries.
