Responsibilities
- Deliver all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion, working with peers and Directors, client and others as required
- Prepare feasibility estimates
- Conduct cost planning and present without supervision
- Support contract procurement
- Develop tender documentation
- Perform value engineering and maintain commercial awareness
- Generate fees
- Manage risk
- Resolve disputes
- Manage post-contract activities including cost reporting
- Agree final accounts
Requirements
- Experience in cost management across the full project lifecycle
- Ability to work with peers, Directors, and clients
- Proven ability to prepare feasibility estimates
- Competence in cost reporting
- Experience in agreement of final accounts
- Demonstrated professional competence in dealings with clients and professional contacts
- Experience in delivering cost planning presentations without supervision
- Involvement in contract procurement and tender documentation
- Experience in value engineering and commercial awareness
- Experience in risk management and dispute resolution
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the water and environment sectors
- Experience in highways, rail, and power sectors
- Client experience with Highways England, Network Rail, and National Grid
