AECOM is hiring a Senior Contracts Manager

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to the organization's contract management policies and alignment with applicable contract frameworks such as NEC, meeting all program-specific obligations.
  • Verify that all contract administration tasks follow contractual agreements and established standards, identifying and reporting any deviations.
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial partnerships with contractors and consultants, encouraging cooperation and performance improvements.
  • Evaluate and provide guidance on contract drafts to confirm suitability for project needs and ensure proper customization, coordinating with legal, technical, and financial experts as necessary.
  • Lead contract negotiations and deliver commercial and contractual advice to project, service, and program leadership.
  • Assess and authorize subcontractors and their contractual documentation in compliance with project requirements.
  • Approve payment certifications, including detailed evaluations of Defined Costs under NEC Option C and Option E arrangements.
  • Conduct audits of contractor and consultant accounts to verify accurate cost recording and claims in accordance with contract terms.
  • Analyze cost forecasts submitted by contractors or consultants and evaluate pain/gain share mechanisms under NEC Option C and Option D.
  • Perform assessments and calculations related to delay damages when necessary.
  • Create and execute contract management strategies at category and program levels, and review individual contract management plans for approval.
  • Define KPI targets within NEC Incentive Schedules and track contractor and consultant performance against agreed metrics.
  • Develop and maintain standardized KPI libraries for assigned categories and programs.
  • Evaluate and approve performance reviews for contractors and consultants, and supervise the creation of performance improvement plans when needed.
  • Recruit, lead, and support a team of contract administrators, promoting effective collaboration across project teams.
  • Assess Compensation Event submissions, including Early Warning Notices and quotations, and advise project and service managers accordingly.
  • Review payment requests to confirm compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of RFI and RFT documents, including contract conditions, amendments, and entity-specific Z clauses.
  • Oversee and verify the integrity of tendering and evaluation processes leading to the appointment of contractors and consultants.
