Responsibilities
- Lead satellite communications consulting projects of varying scale and complexity, managing client interactions, reporting, work breakdown structure, budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
- Deliver comprehensive engineering support for satellite communication systems, guiding clients through design, sizing, optimization, specification, and evaluation phases.
- Translate client requirements into key technical parameters, producing multiple preliminary communication payload designs and recommending solutions based on cost, time, and complexity trade-offs.
- Evaluate capital and operational expenditures for communication systems and conduct cost-versus-performance analyses.
- Develop simulations to validate system performance, identify limitations, and explore use cases.
- Conduct technical assessments of communication payloads, including capacity, signal chain impairments, interference, test predictions, and redundancy strategies.
- Prepare and review payload system specifications, including technical exhibits for satellite procurement contracts.
- Perform critical evaluations and comparisons of payload sections in industrial proposals submitted in response to RFPs.
