MariaDB is looking for a Senior Cloud Test Engineer to join the team at Phiture. In this role, you’ll be a key problem-solver on a team dedicated to integration testing. You will design scalable automated testing systems, develop architectural solutions for testing cloud technologies, and help build the quality assurance strategy for innovative MariaDB cloud applications.
What You'll Do
- Conduct functional and regression testing of MariaDB server and its components.
- Perform exploratory testing and work closely with developers and product management to clarify feature specifications.
- Write test cases and automate scenarios for performance testing, regression validation, and cloud configuration verification.
- Analyze test results, create reproducible test cases, report defects, and proactively drive quality improvements.
- Collaborate with development, product management, and SRE to implement shift-left testing and quality engineering practices.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of work experience in automation framework design and ownership.
- Good knowledge of Linux with hands-on experience in everyday maintenance and administration.
- Ability to perform work tasks on Windows and MacOS.
- Understanding and experience with MariaDB Server or other RDBMSs.
- Good knowledge of SQL, and familiarity with NoSQL concepts, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Work experience with version control and defect tracking systems.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Proficiency in scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience using AI-enhanced tooling for automation, failure clustering, and analytics.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
