Responsibilities
- Design and manage virtual private clouds, subnets, routing configurations, and cross-cloud connectivity in AWS and Google Cloud.
- Configure and maintain load balancers, API gateways, private service access, and service mesh architectures for cloud-native applications.
- Deploy and oversee cloud firewalls, NAT gateways, virtual private networks, and SD-WAN implementations.
- Enhance network efficiency, reduce latency, and ensure high availability for distributed services.
- Apply zero-trust security models, enforce network segmentation, and ensure encryption of data in transit.
- Collaborate with security teams to detect and resolve configuration flaws, vulnerabilities, and potential threats.
- Ensure network designs meet compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues related to connectivity, throughput, and response times.
- Develop automation and Infrastructure-as-Code templates using tools like Terraform and Pulumi.
- Implement monitoring and observability systems to track network health and performance.
- Provide on-call support for urgent networking incidents affecting critical systems.
- Coordinate with cloud architects, infrastructure, and development teams to align networking with business goals.
- Help shape long-term strategies for multi-cloud and hybrid network environments.
- Guide junior engineers and contribute to internal documentation and operational standards.
