Responsibilities
- Operate and extend a global cloud network infrastructure into new regions while meeting regulatory and compliance standards.
- Contribute to planning the future structure and size of the networking team.
- Guide and develop junior engineering staff through mentorship and training.
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available and secure network systems across local, wide-area, virtual private, and cloud networks spanning multiple data centers and regions.
- Oversee international leased lines and domestic internet connections to ensure global network connectivity.
- Manage configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of complex network hardware and cloud environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Serve as a primary contact for critical network incidents, leading resolution efforts and documenting post-incident reviews.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as security, DevOps, database, corporate IT, and facilities to integrate and support network solutions across regions.
- Work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve network issues in physical and cloud-based environments.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including topologies, configurations, and operational runbooks.
- Assess and propose networking technologies that align with business expansion goals.
- Take part in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to production and infrastructure incidents.
- Support planned network maintenance and upgrades with flexible scheduling to reduce operational impact.
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance network monitoring, visibility, and operational efficiency.
