About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position in software development and systems operations, centered on building, evaluating, and deploying tools and services for automated build and release workflows within a collaborative engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and operational support for automated build and release systems as part of a software engineering team.
- Evaluate and implement commercial and open-source tools to establish a self-service, continuous integration-focused engineering environment.
- Manage and maintain source code repositories for internal projects, third-party assets, and open-source or proprietary code forks.
- Design and deploy systems that enable building, integrating, and validating complex software across cloud services, mobile platforms, embedded devices, and various hardware architectures.
- Automate key stages of the software lifecycle including compilation, integration testing, packaging, and component distribution.
- Collaborate with build, test, and software engineers to create automation tools and refine release workflows.
- Create scripts and utilities to automate testing procedures for both software and hardware systems.
- Support developers in resolving build-related issues such as Makefile and CMake configuration problems, compilation errors, and unit test failures.
- Promote and enforce engineering best practices to support fast-paced feature development while sustaining multiple active software products.
- Partner with SDK and platform teams during new component integration, advocating for standardized continuous integration practices across teams.
