Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, surveillance, and performance tuning of backup and recovery processes on all supported systems.
- Provide technical support for Veeam, Barman, and NiFi backup infrastructures, maintaining data accuracy and readiness for restoration.
- Engage in the development, simulation, and implementation of disaster recovery strategies using VMware vRealize Automation and associated VMware technologies.
- Respond to operational incidents, conduct root cause investigations, and resolve backup or restore failures promptly.
- Update and manage backup system settings, data retention rules, and recovery protocols.
- Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures, test outcomes, and technical setups.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance the efficiency, capacity, and fault tolerance of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ensure all practices meet regulatory standards, audit requirements, and data security policies.
- Support forecasting for storage growth, automation efforts, and continuous service enhancements.
