Requirements
- BS or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or science
- 4+ years of industry backend software engineering experience
- 2+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer at a rapidly growing start up or innovative company
- Experience driving technical direction and leading teams on project execution
- Architect scalable systems and design latency sensitive applications for our Intercoms deployed around the world
- Experience collaborating cross functionally to design complex systems with simple and robust backend APIs
- History of shipping out significant products
- Ownership mentality, resolving problems that span beyond team boundaries
- Deep expertise with relational databases
- Demonstrated expertise in either Python or GoLang
- Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week
Nice to Have
- Postgres experience a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes a plus
- Experience building messaging systems, with a proven track record of designing and maintaining highly available, distributed messaging architectures (e.g., mass notification systems), and a strong understanding of the SMS ecosystem, including throughput management, carrier delivery nuances, and global compliance
