Wellhub is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Billing team in a remote role based in Brazil. You will be responsible for identifying, preventing, and removing fraudulent actors from our platform, building critical and sustainable services in our ecosystem.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL technology (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB), understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls.
- Experience applying computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Experience with microservices.
- Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work effectively with diverse teams located across different countries.
- Intermediate English skills to clearly articulate ideas when speaking to groups in English.
- Prior experience in backend development.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Java/Kotlin.
- Experience dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers (such as KAFKA, AWS SQS, AWS SNS), understanding their use cases and pitfalls.
- Experience with Cloud-based architectures (AWS experience is nice to have).
