Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable, distributed backend systems that support data platform features in experimentation, metrics, release monitoring, observability, agent control, and related domains.
- Take ownership of production-grade data infrastructure, including real-time streaming and batch processing pipelines, analytical databases, data warehouse exports, monitoring, alerting, and system performance.
- Diagnose and resolve critical production issues across data workflows, storage systems, cloud environments, and distributed services, including participation in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, UX designers, and engineering teams to deliver robust, customer-facing data solutions.
- Develop and evaluate technical designs, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, cost efficiency, and operational simplicity.
- Enhance engineering practices, including testing standards, deployment safety, observability, tooling, and operational workflows for data platform systems.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code while actively engaging in code reviews, design critiques, and production readiness assessments.
