Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) that power Cashalo's lending products
- Design and optimise SQL Server data models and queries to support reliable, performant application behaviour
- Take ownership of features end-to-end — from requirements through to deployment — working closely with product and business stakeholders
- Contribute to platform reliability, observability, and deployment practices on Azure
- Collaborate with engineers across the Tilt group (US and India) to align on architecture and engineering best practices
- Help uplift the team through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and a high bar for quality
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in .NET (C#) building production-grade backend systems
- Strong experience with SQL Server — relational data modelling, query optimisation, and schema management
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud services (e.g. App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage)
- Strong fundamentals in designing and consuming REST APIs
- A product engineer mindset — you care about solving real user and business problems, not just writing clean code
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, lean team where ownership and initiative are valued

- Experience in fintech or lending is a plus
