Responsibilities
- Architect and iteratively improve core backend services for a cloud-native knowledge platform
- Build and optimize a query engine that executes domain-specific language operations
- Help shape the design and ongoing development of specialized language constructs
- Work with projectional editing tools used to create and modify domain-specific languages
- Create clean, scalable abstractions for intricate biological data structures
- Decompose complex, research-intensive challenges into manageable, well-organized development phases
- Uphold strong engineering standards through thorough code reviews and system design discussions
- Partner with product and research teams to define project scope, evaluate trade-offs, and align on strategic goals
