About the Role

This role focuses on building data-driven models that capture how learners engage with digital education platforms, enabling personalized recommendations and actionable insights for educators and students.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine learning models to analyze learner behavior patterns
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate models into production systems
  • Translate research findings into scalable features that enhance user experience
  • Evaluate model performance using statistical methods and real-world data
  • Identify opportunities to improve learning outcomes through data insights
  • Work with large-scale educational datasets to uncover trends and anomalies
  • Develop frameworks for measuring the impact of interventions on learner success
  • Ensure models are interpretable and aligned with pedagogical goals
  • Conduct A/B tests to validate hypotheses about user engagement
  • Maintain documentation for modeling pipelines and experimental results
  • Stay current with advancements in machine learning and educational data mining
  • Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Use natural language processing techniques to analyze open-ended learner inputs
  • Build time-series models to predict student performance over time
  • Support data quality initiatives to ensure reliable model inputs
  • Contribute to ethical AI practices in educational technology
  • Optimize models for low-latency, high-availability environments
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects involving UX, research, and data engineering
  • Define key performance indicators for learner success and progression
  • Mentor junior team members in data science best practices
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy standards in model design
  • Develop anomaly detection systems for identifying at-risk learners
  • Integrate external data sources to enrich learner profiles
  • Create reusable modeling components for team-wide use
  • Drive innovation through prototyping and proof-of-concept development
