About the Role

The role involves building and maintaining high-quality Android applications with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and modern development practices within a health-focused technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Android applications using current best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify and fix bugs across multiple device configurations
  • Optimize application performance and memory usage
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Implement UI components following design specifications
  • Work with RESTful APIs to integrate backend services
  • Use version control systems for collaborative development
  • Stay current with Android platform updates and industry trends
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards
  • Support release management and deployment processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly
  • Improve application stability through monitoring and analytics
  • Collaborate on feature prioritization and sprint planning
  • Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge
  • Evaluate third-party libraries and tools for integration
  • Maintain documentation for code and development processes

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience with health or medical applications
  • Familiarity with HIPAA or other data privacy regulations
  • Knowledge of RxJava or coroutines for asynchronous tasks
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose
  • Background in secure coding practices
  • Experience with offline data synchronization
  • Familiarity with wearables or sensor integration
  • Contributions to open-source Android projects
  • Published apps in the Google Play Store
