About the Role
This position serves as the critical link between AI innovation and customer impact, shaping how AI features are experienced across the product. The role defines standards for AI behavior, enhances user trust through intuitive design, accelerates development velocity with scalable patterns, and influences product direction by identifying gaps and opportunities at the intersection of AI capability and user need.
Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack AI features from UI to backend, using React/TypeScript and Node.js/Python, with support for real-time data streams, fallback mechanisms, and human oversight workflows.
- Transform AI functionalities such as retrieval-augmented generation, agent-based processes, and logical reasoning systems into user experiences that align with compliance workflows.
- Collaborate with AI engineering teams to establish API specifications and output formats, ensuring seamless integration of RAG pipelines, agentic behaviors, and structured decision-making into usable interfaces.
- Champion user needs in technical discussions, identifying real-world failure points in model outputs and refining the product layer to improve reliability and usability.
- Design and implement feedback mechanisms that collect user input on AI performance and convert it into actionable insights for AI model improvement.
- Integrate observability metrics—such as response time, user engagement, task success rates, and attrition points—into AI features, supported by comprehensive testing across the stack.
- Create standardized components and architectural patterns—like streaming utilities, feedback modules, and state management systems—to speed up future AI feature delivery.
- Guide junior engineers in AI product development through mentorship and active participation in design reviews, combining technical rigor with product intuition.
Compensation
Competitive base salary, benefits, and stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs); salary range $192,000 - $259,800
