Nortal is hiring a Senior AEM Backend Developer - Talent Connection

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend Adobe Experience Manager solutions, including custom OSGi bundles, Sling Models, Sling Servlets, and workflow components.
  • Create and manage content structures in AEM using JCR/Oak, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and DAM integrations.
  • Develop and refine HTL (Sightly) templates in coordination with frontend developers, ensuring clear separation between logic and presentation.
  • Integrate AEM with external systems and APIs, supporting RESTful and GraphQL-based services.
  • Lead peer code reviews, uphold coding standards, and guide junior team members in AEM backend best practices.
  • Work with solution architects to influence technical design decisions and contribute to documentation.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and enhance AEM performance at component, page, and infrastructure levels.
  • Engage in Agile workflows, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Provide clear updates on project progress, technical challenges, and blockers to team leads and client representatives.
  • Support improvements to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Maven and Adobe Cloud Manager.
