Honeywell is seeking a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to create high-impact software solutions for the aerospace industry. You will contribute to technologies that improve aircraft performance, safety, and passenger comfort.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for new and legacy aircraft products.
  • Maintain, develop, and support industry standard tools such as IBM DOORS and DOORS NG, IBM ELM, Siemens Teamcenter, NX, JIRA, and Atlassian tools.
  • Support application and product lifecycle management tooling.
  • Bridge gaps between Engineering, IT, and vendors.
  • Support export control and legacy system environment configurations.
  • Support common tool initiatives and migrations.
  • Support application upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Perform testing and debugging of tools to ensure software quality and performance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Travel up to 25%.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in software engineering, particularly in aerospace or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Expertise in supporting software development methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with software testing and debugging techniques.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on aerospace applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in software engineering practices.
  • Experience working within a global team.

This is a hybrid position based in Phoenix, Arizona.
