Honeywell is seeking a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to create high-impact software solutions for the aerospace industry. You will contribute to technologies that improve aircraft performance, safety, and passenger comfort.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for new and legacy aircraft products.
- Maintain, develop, and support industry standard tools such as IBM DOORS and DOORS NG, IBM ELM, Siemens Teamcenter, NX, JIRA, and Atlassian tools.
- Support application and product lifecycle management tooling.
- Bridge gaps between Engineering, IT, and vendors.
- Support export control and legacy system environment configurations.
- Support common tool initiatives and migrations.
- Support application upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
- Perform testing and debugging of tools to ensure software quality and performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Travel up to 25%.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in software engineering, particularly in aerospace or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Expertise in supporting software development methodologies and tools.
- Experience with software testing and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on aerospace applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in software engineering practices.
- Experience working within a global team.
