About the Role

This role involves owning core accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately and on schedule
  • Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement items
  • Support timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain general ledger integrity through consistent review and updates
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with standards
  • Collaborate with auditors during external and internal audit cycles
  • Track and report on fixed asset transactions and depreciation
  • Monitor deferred revenue schedules and compliance with recognition policies
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrections
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve financial queries
  • Maintain documentation for accounting processes and transactions
  • Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives with accurate data
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and systems
  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software
  • Prepare reports for management review and operational insights
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Support tax preparation activities with accurate recordkeeping
  • Ensure timely filing of financial reports and compliance documents
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to finance systems
  • Escalate critical issues to senior finance staff promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • Train team members on accounting procedures as needed
  • Contribute to process documentation and internal audit readiness
