About the Role
This role involves owning core accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately and on schedule
- Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement items
- Support timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain general ledger integrity through consistent review and updates
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with standards
- Collaborate with auditors during external and internal audit cycles
- Track and report on fixed asset transactions and depreciation
- Monitor deferred revenue schedules and compliance with recognition policies
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrections
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve financial queries
- Maintain documentation for accounting processes and transactions
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives with accurate data
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and systems
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software
- Prepare reports for management review and operational insights
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Support tax preparation activities with accurate recordkeeping
- Ensure timely filing of financial reports and compliance documents
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to finance systems
- Escalate critical issues to senior finance staff promptly
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Train team members on accounting procedures as needed
- Contribute to process documentation and internal audit readiness
