About the Role
This role is responsible for leading statutory reporting requirements and managing legal entity compliance across domestic and international jurisdictions. The individual will coordinate audits, maintain regulatory filings, and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with local laws and accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP
- Coordinate year-end audits with external auditors for multiple legal entities
- Ensure timely filing of financial reports with local regulatory authorities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of jurisdiction-specific reporting requirements
- Collaborate with tax teams to provide statutory financial data for compliance purposes
- Manage changes in entity structure including formations, mergers, and dissolutions
- Oversee the maintenance of corporate records for all legal entities
- Support internal controls related to statutory reporting processes
- Reconcile financial data across systems to ensure reporting accuracy
- Lead process improvements in entity reporting workflows
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards affecting statutory reporting
- Serve as primary contact for statutory reporting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Track key deadlines for filings across jurisdictions
- Work with legal counsel on entity governance matters
- Prepare documentation for regulatory examinations
- Ensure consistency between financial statements and entity-level disclosures
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting with entity-level data
- Identify and report on entity-specific financial risks
- Standardize reporting templates across entities
- Train regional finance teams on statutory reporting requirements
- Monitor changes in international accounting regulations
- Maintain entity organizational charts and ownership records
- Facilitate interdepartmental coordination for compliance initiatives
- Escalate reporting issues to senior management when necessary
