The Senior Accountant / Senior Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d) will play a central role in Xentral's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting within a dynamic SaaS environment. This remote position involves leading financial processes, optimizing accounting systems, and contributing to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build an automated and future-oriented finance department in collaboration with the team
- Independently process financial accounting transactions including invoice verification, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, and bank accounting
- Implement new requirements for accurate cost and performance accounting
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and external audits
- Analyze and optimize financial processes for greater efficiency
- Support intercompany reconciliations, transfer pricing, and monthly consolidation
- Represent the finance team toward external partners such as suppliers and consultants
- Collaborate closely with internal departments
Required Qualifications:
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting (e.g., certified accountant, tax clerk, or tax specialist)
- Solid knowledge of financial accounting according to HGB
- Very good skills in DATEV and Excel
- Experience with spend-management systems
- Strong analytical thinking and quick comprehension
- Hands-on mentality with an independent and structured work approach
- Fluent in German and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional experience in a SaaS environment
- Knowledge of IFRS
