Marketplace Velocity is looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead a dedicated team managing a portfolio of high-performing Amazon and Walmart accounts. You’ll build and scale your own business unit within the agency, with the autonomy to grow your team, develop people, and bring in new business—charting a clear path toward becoming a General Manager.
What You'll Do
- Oversee a team of account managers and specialists managing multiple client accounts.
- Own client relationships and ensure exceptional results across your portfolio.
- Build and implement systems that allow your team to scale efficiently.
- Set strategy and direction for how your team approaches account optimization and growth.
- Recruit, train, and mentor account managers and specialists.
- Create training programs and playbooks that elevate team performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching.
- Build a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Lead client pitches and close deals for your business unit.
- Develop pricing strategies and service packages.
- Build relationships that generate referrals and expand existing accounts.
- Analyze team performance metrics and identify growth opportunities.
- Optimize workflows and processes for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with other team leads to share best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years managing teams in ecommerce, digital marketing, or agency environments.
- Proven track record of building and scaling teams.
- Deep understanding of Amazon and/or Walmart marketplace management (PPC, listing optimization, account health, growth strategies).
- Experience managing client relationships at a strategic level.
- You're not content with the status quo—you want to build and grow.
- You see this role as a stepping stone to GM/leadership positions.
- You're motivated by both team success and business outcomes.
- You think in terms of systems, not just tasks.
- You understand P&L and can think about profitability and margins.
- Experience with business development, sales, or new client acquisition.

- Comfortable presenting to C-level clients and leading high-stakes conversations.
