What You'll Do
Lead the development and implementation of AC protection and control solutions for high-voltage direct current transmission projects. Translate customer requirements into functional system designs and oversee their technical execution across project phases.
Define precise technical specifications and evaluate supplier proposals to ensure alignment with project standards. Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams, clients, and external partners through clear communication and technical leadership.
Review protection panel layouts and communication architectures to confirm proper integration. Verify that relay settings, functional logic, and control configurations meet system requirements prior to factory testing.
Oversee supplier-led Factory Acceptance Tests and provide technical oversight to ensure compliance. Offer remote or on-site support during installation and Site Acceptance Testing to resolve integration challenges and ensure smooth commissioning.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in protection relay schemes, including control, measurement, and supervision functions
- Hands-on experience with multiple protective relay platforms and their field applications
- Solid background in protection panel design and adherence to industry standards
- Proven track record in power system studies, grid code compliance, and protection coordination
- Ability to verify relay configurations and validate setting accuracy
- Strong capability in interpreting technical documentation and translating it into actionable design input
- Experience managing sub-suppliers across project lifecycles
- Familiarity with testing protocols, including FAT and SAT execution
- Proficiency in technical project controls, including planning, risk assessment, and scope management
