Agile Defense is hiring a Security Operations Center Manager

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous 24/7/365 operational coverage and meet minimum staffing requirements.
  • Design and improve workflow processes for teams operating across multiple shifts on a 24/7 basis.
  • Create, gather, and assess security metrics to enhance SOC effectiveness and reduce organizational risk.
  • Act as the main technical cybersecurity expert, onsite task leader, and primary customer liaison.
  • Oversee project planning, organization, scheduling, and status reporting.
  • Formulate technical cybersecurity solutions in response to customer needs or for proposal development.
  • Assist in launching new engagements as a transition program or operations lead.
  • Document all business and workflow procedures within this domain.
  • Offer technical guidance for developing cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert across multiple tasks or programs.
  • Provide technical writing assistance for corporate responses to RFPs and RFQs from various clients.

Requirements

  • CISSP certification.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on operational and program management experience in delivering cybersecurity programs or related initiatives.
  • Minimum of 7 years professional experience with strong knowledge of incident response, insider threat investigations, digital forensics, and cyber threats.
  • 5-7 years in cybersecurity, including at least 5 years in a SOC leadership role.
  • Deep technical expertise in SIEM, EDR, and incident response techniques.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architectures and security measures.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, STEM, or cybersecurity.
  • Ability to develop dashboards, reports, and diagrams focused on insider threats.
  • Experience in data collection, chain of custody, result reporting; managing and escalating security incidents; performing incident response to isolate and mitigate threats to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members in a collaborative setting.
  • Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.

Nice to Have

  • GCFA, GREM, GCIH, OSCP, GPEN, GFCE, or equivalent certifications.
