Unit 410 is hiring a Security Engineer to secure the edge of crypto infrastructure and systems. You will be on the front lines, working across Engineering teams to lead, review, and implement security improvements for our entire stack.
What You'll Do
- Design secure-by-default wallet architectures for emerging crypto protocols.
- Build and harden systems from the ground up across online, offline, and hybrid environments.
- Build high-signal detection across both cloud and on-chain environments.
- Automate alerts, simulate threats, and drive response plans to stay ahead of real-world compromise.
- Assess security from code to cloud.
- Review internal systems and open source dependencies, fix issues, and help teams prioritize remediation.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience working in production environments at any scale.
Nice to Have
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Curiosity to dive deep into emerging crypto protocols, including their specifications, code, and edge cases.
- Strong judgment on what matters most and a bias for shipping secure systems.
Technical Stack
- Languages: Go, Rust, Typescript
- Protocols/Frameworks: Substrate, Tendermint
- Systems: System hardening (hardware, libs, tooling)
- Monitoring: Physical and environmental monitoring
